JoEl C. Watson
JoEl holds an Associate Degree with a concentration in Sociology from Lansing Community College and is a candidate for a Bachelors of Science Degree in Family Community Services from Michigan State University. He has been employed by the City of Lansing as a Computer Operator for over the past 15 years. More than sixteen years ago, JoEl realized that his real passion in life was working with youth in the community, especially those deemed “at-risk". JoEl currently volunteers as a youth counselor for Youth for Christ, a mentor for the Lansing School District, and works as a facilitator for the Ingham County Abstinence Coalition, and Eaton Intermediate School District. Married for 24 years, JoEl has two beautiful daughters.
Damian L. Murchison
Damian has been employed with the Michigan Department of Transportation for 18 years. He has spent the last 5 years on the Board of Directors with the NuUnion. He has been an educator for over a decade and has worked with multiple churches as well as public and private organizations. He has contracted with the Eaton Intermediate School District, Ingham County Abstinence Coalition, Career and Professional Services, Lansing School District, and the Neighborhood Youth & Parent Prevention Partnership. Damian has contributed to the writing of several youth curriculums dealing with abstinence, peer pressure, family relationships, and faith-based chastity programs. Married for 11 years, Damian has three wonderful children -- two sons and a daughter.
